Eunis 2010  Research Workshop

On 19 March SIGMA Gestión Universitaria took part as a speaker in the EUNIS Research Workshop 2010 -EUNIS 2010- in Bologna, Italy, together with many other European countries: United Kingdom, Holland, Norway, Germany and Italy among others.

The meeting considered the shared need for the availability and improvement of Research management systems and the definition and introduction of standards for the exchange of information about research activities.

Apart from a general rewiew of the Spanish situation, another highlight was the audience interest in the implementation of the Standard CV, led by the FECYT in SIGMA universities.

SIGMA Gestión Universitaria takes part in the RS3G Steering Committee

During the 26th and 27th of January SIGMA Gestión Universitaria has taken part in the new meeting of the rs3g Steering Committee held by the University of Malaga.

The first task of the meeting was to review the vision and mission statements with the aim of giving a more open definition of the possible participants and emphasizing the need to contribute to the definition of standards at a European level.

More collaboration between the Ministry and the Alianza 4 Universidades

The Ministry of Education, Social Policy and Sports and the association “Alianza 4 universidades", have signed an agreement for the exchange of information between the Observatory for the Monitoring of Research Activities at Spanish Universities (IUNE) and the Integrated University Information System (SIIU), relating to indicators of scientific activity carried out within the Spanish university system.

Workshop on CRIS and repositories
 

On 10 November the GrandIR Workshop on CRIS (Current Research Information Systems) was held in Barcelona. SIGMA Gestión Universitaria took an active part with the paper:  'The gradual implementation of the CERIF standard in the design of integrated systems of research management'
