| SIGMA Software Factory visit by professionals from the Municipal Federation for Education in Finland |

On 2 February ten Professional Training professionals from Finland, specifically from the Municipal Federation for Education of the Kalajokilaakso region, visited our SIGMA, A.I.E. offices on international Leonardo grants, within the XARXA FP project, for exchanges between Professional Training centres in different European cities. The purpose of their visit was to find out about the centre-company experience.We presented our SIGMA Software Factory project, in which the Learning Centre enables students from Professional Training centres to do periods of 350 work experience. The conclusions from the session were that we will look into the possibility of establishing collaborations between SIGMA, A.I.E. and the respective Municipal Education Federations, for receiving both students in SIGMA through its exchange programmes and lecturers in Professional training centres so that they can experience our model with a view to its possible implementation in their region.

| SIGMA Gestión Universitaria takes part in the RS3G Steering Committee |
During the 26th and 27th of January SIGMA Gestión Universitaria has taken part in the new meeting of the rs3g Steering Committee held by the University of Malaga. The first task of the meeting was to review the vision and mission statements with the aim of giving a more open definition of the possible participants and emphasizing the need to contribute to the definition of standards at a European level. |

| More collaboration between the Ministry and the Alianza 4 Universidades |
The Ministry of Education, Social Policy and Sports and the association “Alianza 4 universidades", have signed an agreement for the exchange of information between the Observatory for the Monitoring of Research Activities at Spanish Universities (IUNE) and the Integrated University Information System (SIIU), relating to indicators of scientific activity carried out within the Spanish university system. |

| Workshop on CRIS and repositories |
On 10 November the GrandIR Workshop on CRIS (Current Research Information Systems) was held in Barcelona. SIGMA Gestión Universitaria took an active part with the paper: 'The gradual implementation of the CERIF standard in the design of integrated systems of research management'. |
