SIGMA Software Factory visit by professionals from the Municipal Federation for Education in Finland

On 2 February ten Professional Training professionals from Finland, specifically from the Municipal Federation for Education of the Kalajokilaakso region, visited our SIGMA, A.I.E. offices on international Leonardo grants, within the XARXA FP project, for exchanges between Professional Training centres in different European cities.

The purpose of their visit was to find out about the centre-company experience. We presented our SIGMA Software Factory project, in which the Learning Centre enables students from Professional Training centres to do periods of 350 work experience. The conclusions from the session were that we will look into the possibility of establishing collaborations between SIGMA, A.I.E. and the respective Municipal Education Federations, for receiving both students in SIGMA through its exchange programmes and lecturers in Professional training centres so that they can experience our model with a view to its possible implementation in their region.
