| Unión de las universidades españolas para competir en el mercado global |

El pasado martes, 16 de marzo, el Secretario General de Universidades, Màrius Rubiralta, lanzó el mensaje de que la estrategia futura de las universidades pasa por las agregaciones. El Ministerio de Educación respalda la vía de unos campus que supongan “la agregación de instituciones por proyectos comunes”. Rubiralta informó que, a finales de este mes se abrirá una nueva convocatoria del proyecto Campus de Excelencia Internacional (CEI). El anuncio se realizó en la Universitat Ramon Llull (URL) dentro del marco del seminario “La universidad de la excelencia: universidades generalistas o especialistas”, organizada junto la CRUE y la Fundación CYD, donde asistieron Anna Ripoll, Rectora de la UAB y José Manuel Roldán, Rector de UCO. Recordó también, que 11 de las 77 universidades españolas, están entre las 500 mejores del mundo. Anunció también la previsión de aumento de las becas salario, hasta llegar al año 2015 a los 7.000 euros, y aseguró que hay que aumentar las ayudas económicas para potenciar la movilidad interautonómica e internacional de larga duración, facilitando a los estudiantes el alojamiento.

During the 26th and 27th of January SIGMA Gestión Universitaria has taken part in the new meeting of the rs3g Steering Committee held by the University of Malaga. The first task of the meeting was to review the vision and mission statements with the aim of giving a more open definition of the possible participants and emphasizing the need to contribute to the definition of standards at a European level. |

| More collaboration between the Ministry and the Alianza 4 Universidades |
The Ministry of Education, Social Policy and Sports and the association “Alianza 4 universidades", have signed an agreement for the exchange of information between the Observatory for the Monitoring of Research Activities at Spanish Universities (IUNE) and the Integrated University Information System (SIIU), relating to indicators of scientific activity carried out within the Spanish university system. |

| Workshop on CRIS and repositories |
