SIGMA takes part in a new workshop of the RS3G group in Warsaw

On 22 June a meeting of the RS³G (Rome Student Systems and Standards Group) was held as part of the EUNIS 2010 Conference (http://www.eunis.pl) in Warsaw (Poland).

The meeting began with a review of the current state of the “Web-services for exchange of data on cooperation and mobility between higher education institutions”, mobility project in which SIGMA is taking part. This was followed by an analysis of initiatives such as the CEN (European Committee for Standardisation), EdUnify (an American initiative for a catalogue of webservices), Ploteus (a portal of training opportunities in the European area) and the invitation to the RS³G to take part in the “Special Interest Group on Digital Student Data Portability” of the EAIE (European Association for International Education).

The day closed with conclusion on the meeting and a proposal for a further meeting between companies and students, so that the latter can offer their ideas as end users of the software.

SIGMA Gestión Universitaria takes part in the RS3G Steering Committee

During the 26^th and 27^th of January SIGMA Gestión Universitaria has taken part in the new meeting of the rs3g Steering Committee held by the University of Malaga.

The first task of the meeting was to review the vision and mission statements with the aim of giving a more open definition of the possible participants and emphasizing the need to contribute to the definition of standards at a European level.
